About Salaam Baalak Trust

Salaam Baalak Trust Delhi, founded in 1988 and inspired by the film Salaam Bombay, addresses the struggles of children living on the streets. This non-profit supports street and working children across Delhi and the National Capital Region. Recognizing that many children turn to street life due to intolerable home conditions, the Trust provides essential services like care, health, education, and vocational training. Committed to offering every child a safe space to dream, Salaam Baalak Trust welcomes all children, aiming to empower them to live with dignity and resilience.

Salaam Baalak Trust has made a significant impact on the lives of street and working children, thanks to the incredible support of its valued partners. Through partnerships with well-known brands like Delhi metro rail Co., HSBC, Select City Walk, FCB India ,the Trust has been able to provide crucial services like healthcare, education, and vocational training to thousands of vulnerable children in Delhi and the National Capital Region.

Shelter Homes in Delhi NCR

Salaam Baalak Trust operates several children’s homes across Delhi, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad, providing a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable street children.

Arushi Children Home for Girls, located in Gurugram, Haryana, houses up to 50 girls, offering them care, education, and support in a secure setting.

DMRC Children Home for Boys in Tis Hazari, Delhi, accommodates up to 100 boys, providing essential services and a safe space for growth and development.

Aasra Children Home for Boys, based in Najafgarh, New Delhi, has a capacity for 50 boys, focusing on rehabilitation and care.

Uday Open Shelter for Boys, located in Ghaziabad, serves up to 25 boys, offering temporary shelter and assistance.

ODRS Open Shelter for Boys in Old Delhi provides a refuge for 25 boys in need, helping them with immediate needs and long-term support.

Apna Ghar Open Shelter for Boys, based in Paharganj, New Delhi, has space for 50 boys, offering shelter and programs that aid their development.

Udaan Rose Children Home for Girls in Kamla Nagar, New Delhi, accommodates 50 girls, providing a caring environment that promotes education and personal growth.
